Reports Claim Tensions Between King Charles, William and Kate Over Queen Camilla

King Charles has reportedly sent what one royal insider described as a “public sign of defiance” toward Prince William by leaving open the possibility of Prince Harry one day returning to the Royal Family.

The claims come amid reports of growing tensions within the monarchy, with royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner alleging that relations between the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales have become increasingly strained.

According to Turner, Charles was left deeply unhappy after William and Catherine were said to have shown a lack of respect towards Queen Camilla. The alleged incident reportedly took place during a recent royal engagement, where the Waleses were claimed to have walked past the Queen without offering the customary bow or curtsy.

The latest claims follow renewed discussion about the long-running rift between William and Harry, including reports surrounding the three-letter word said to have intensified their feud and the role Meghan Markle allegedly played in the dispute.

Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner claimed there is little warmth between Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

“I have heard there does not seem to be much family love between Camilla and William and Kate,” he told Express US. He also alleged that the couple recently walked past the Queen without offering a curtsy or bow, describing the moment as something many interpreted as a public act of defiance.

Turner went on to suggest that King Charles would continue to firmly support his wife, adding: “Charles will stand wholeheartedly by his wife. Harry coming back is the first sign I feel of his public defiance in return,” according to the Mirror US.

According to the royal commentator, King Charles made a conscious effort to welcome Prince Harry and his family during their recent visit to the UK, going out of his way to ensure they felt included.

Pelham Turner claimed that the King’s gesture was not well received by Prince William and Princess Catherine, suggesting it may have contributed to the reported tension surrounding Queen Camilla. Despite this, he believes Charles remains determined to demonstrate that he is still the reigning monarch and the ultimate authority within the Royal Family.

The commentator also argued that the King wants the family to present a united front, regardless of any private disagreements.

“For the people, the Royal Family must be seen as a strong unit,” Pelham Turner said, adding that it should not resemble “a real-life version of the Netflix drama The Crown.”

Amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the brothers’ relationship, Prince William is reportedly still “very angry” with Prince Harry over what insiders describe as a mistake that remains difficult to forgive.

The latest claims come as Meghan Markle made a high-profile appearance as a guest judge on season 18 of MasterChef Australia. Contestants were challenged to transform a simple everyday ingredient into a dish deemed “fit for a duchess.”

Joining judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli, Meghan quickly became the centre of attention. Her appearance reportedly left several contestants both nervous and excited, with some described as “frazzled” and “blushing.”

The episode also proved to be a major ratings success.

According to figures released by broadcaster Network 10, Meghan’s guest appearance attracted an impressive 1.6 million total television viewers. It delivered the programme’s biggest overnight Sunday audience since July 2023 and achieved the highest overnight streaming audience in the show’s history, with 118,000 viewers.

The episode also finished at the top of Australia’s seven-day Total Viewing rankings, drawing 1.22 million viewers nationwide.
