William and Kate Get Significant Financial Boost While Enjoying Summer Break With Their Children

Prince William and Princess Catherine have received a significant financial boost that could help support their charitable ambitions and future initiatives through the Royal Foundation.

Newly published accounts show particularly strong financial backing from the United States. In 2025, the Foundation received £8,694,668 from the American Friends of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales—an increase of nearly £4 million compared with the £4,885,719 recorded the previous year.

The sharp rise highlights the growing level of support for William and Catherine’s charitable work across the Atlantic and provides substantial additional funding for the projects championed through their Foundation.

The American Friends organisation, which is registered in Delaware, is described in the accounts as a “separately controlled entity” whose interests are aligned with those of the Royal Foundation. Its contributions provide a clear indication of the considerable financial support the couple’s charitable initiatives are attracting in the United States.

The report explains that the American Friends organisation helps fund Royal Foundation projects with a broad international reach, particularly initiatives designed to create impact beyond the UK.

The statement notes that its support is mainly directed towards programmes and projects operating on a global scale.

For comparison, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Philanthropies reported revenue of around £1.93 million in 2024. Figures for the organisation’s 2025 income have not yet been disclosed.

Prince William and Kate’s rеcent successful charity projеcts

The Royal Foundation serves as the main charitable organisation through which Prince William and Princess Catherine develop and deliver many of their most prominent initiatives.

Its latest financial report shows that the charity generated more than £19 million in total income during 2025, while spending approximately £16 million across its programmes, operations and wider charitable work.

Several major projects continued to expand during the year. Catherine’s Centre for Early Childhood introduced its Shaping Us Framework, further developing her long-term work around the importance of the early years.

Meanwhile, William’s ambitious Homewards programme reached the halfway point of its five-year mission towards the end of the year, continuing its work to demonstrate that homelessness can be prevented and ultimately ended.

The Foundation rounded off 2025 with another major royal event as Princess Catherine hosted the fifth annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, bringing together guests in recognition of community, compassion and support for others.

Reflecting on the Foundation’s progress throughout the year, chief executive Amanda Berry highlighted collaboration as a key force behind its growing reach and impact.

“In 2025, that belief was matched by a bold and deliberate focus on the power of collaboration, which meant our work reached further and connected more deeply. We have an unparalleled ability to unite people, ideas and resources. Together, we can shift systems, innovate solutions and inspire others to act,” she said.

Berry added: “This year, each of our programmes turned shared commitment into measurable outcomes – and set the stage for even greater impact in the years ahead.”

Why are William and Kate tаking time away from the spоtlight?

Prince William and Princess Catherine have now stepped back from their busy schedule of public engagements to enjoy their traditional summer break with their family.

With the Prince and Princess spending the coming weeks largely away from the public eye, the royal diary is expected to remain noticeably quieter until official duties resume after the summer holidays.

During their summer break, the Wales family could retreat to Anmer Hall, their Norfolk country home, or spend part of the holidays with Catherine’s parents at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury.

The time away from royal duties will give William and Catherine a valuable opportunity to enjoy a more private family routine with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight.

This summer is particularly significant for the family, with George preparing for a major new chapter. The young prince is expected to begin his studies at Eton College in September, while Charlotte and Louis will return to Lambrook School in Berkshire for the new academic year.
