Rupert Finch, a former boyfriend of Catherine, Princess of Wales, was reportedly among the stylish guests attending the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling in the Cotswolds on Saturday.
Rupert is said to have dated Kate for just under a year in 2001 while both were studying at the University of St Andrews—before her relationship with Prince William began.
Their brief romance was even referenced in season six of The Crown, where Rupert was portrayed by actor Oli Green.
At the time, Rupert was reportedly in his fourth year at St Andrews. After university, he went on to study at the The College of Law in Guildford.
Despite their past relationship, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Rupert Finch appear to have remained on good terms over the years.
Rupert was even among the guests invited to the royal wedding of Catherine and Prince William at Westminster Abbey in April 2011.

Two years later, Rupert Finch married Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs, the daughter of the 4th Marquess of Reading.
Their wedding took place in Cirencester in June 2013 and was attended by Princess Eugenie as well as Cressida Bonas, who previously dated Prince Harry.
Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs is well connected within royal circles. Alongside Lavinia Brennan, she co-founded the ethical fashion label Beulah London.
The brand’s designs have become popular among several royal women, including Harriet Sperling, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice.
In an exclusive interview with HELLO! back in 2020, Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs spoke warmly about Catherine, Princess of Wales’s support for her label Beulah London.
She said: “It’s always lovely to see the Duchess in Beulah. She’s a wonderful ambassador for British brands and that is more important than ever at the moment.”
For the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, Natasha naturally chose one of her own creations—a cornflower blue patterned maxi dress with blouson sleeves.
The same design had previously been worn by Catherine, Princess of Wales during a polo match in 2023.
Like Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, Rupert Finch and Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs are parents to three children: Georgia, born in 2015, Cienna, born in 2017, and India Grace Albertine, born in 2020.
Following the birth of their youngest daughter, Natasha spoke to HELLO! about family life, saying: “I’m one of three children myself, I definitely think three is enough and Rupert would agree. But who knows? It’s such a blessing to be able to have three.”
