Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling posing in official royal wedding photos after their ceremony

The Beautiful Wedding Photos Royal Fans Were Waiting For

Peter Phillips and his new wife Harriet Sperling looked overjoyed in the first official photographs released after their royal wedding in the Cotswolds on Saturday 6 June.

The romantic portraits, taken by photographer Mark Nicholson, captured Princess Anne’s son, 48, looking completely smitten with Harriet, 45, as the newlyweds posed together following the ceremony.

Harriet stunned in a sophisticated gown by Emilia Wickstead, crafted with delicate French lace and designed in a sleek column silhouette. She completed the bridal look with heels by Jimmy Choo and a sparkling tiara from Pragnell.

The official portrait was taken inside the Conservatory at Gatcombe Park, the estate of Anne, Princess Royal, where the wedding reception is believed to have taken place.

Surrounded by lush greenery, the couple appeared deeply in love as Harriet held a white bouquet designed by Millie Richardson featuring sweet peas, myrtle, and lily of the valley. Harriet gazed affectionately at her new husband while Peter smiled warmly toward the camera.

Sentimental location

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, who began dating in 2024, exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held in the quiet village of Kemble.

The location is situated just 17 minutes from Anne, Princess Royal’s estate at Gatcombe Park, where Peter also has a home, and around 14 minutes from King Charles III’s country residence, Highgrove House.

Beyond its convenience for the royal family, Kemble’s charm and understated atmosphere are said to have played a major role in Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling choosing the village for their wedding.

HELLO! deputy beauty and lifestyle editor Melanie Macleod, who grew up in the area, explained that the picturesque village—with its traditional golden Cotswold stone buildings—perfectly reflected the grounded image associated with this branch of the royal family.

She wrote: “I think they picked Kemble as the pretty village, built from golden Cotswolds stone, to reflect the low-key, humble nature of that arm of the royal family – the branch which did away with titles, rather than being named Prince Peter and Princess Zara.”

Macleod added that the village has “none of the crowds or airs and graces other equally pretty villages have.”

Her comments echoed what friends of the couple reportedly told HELLO!: “It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both.”

Guest list

The Prince аnd Princess of Wales led the glamorоus arrivals

As this was the second marriage for both Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, the couple reportedly chose to keep the celebration intimate and relatively low-key.

Peter was previously married to Autumn Phillips from 2008 until 2021, while Harriet had separated from her former husband Antonio St. John Sperling.

Among the guests invited were King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, although the royal couple reportedly had to leave the festivities early in order to attend the Epsom Derby later that afternoon.

Also attending the countryside wedding were Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall.

Peter’s daughters, Savannah Phillips, 15, and Isla Phillips, 14, served as bridesmaids alongside Harriet’s teenage daughter, Georgina.

In the days leading up to the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, much of the attention focused not on the guest list itself, but on who would reportedly be absent from the celebrations.

Despite once sharing a close relationship with Prince Harry, Peter is said to have drifted apart from his cousin following Harry’s move to the United States in 2020.

A friend close to the newlyweds reportedly told HELLO!: “Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.”

While Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie werе at the wedding, their parents Andrеw Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were reportedly not invitеd

Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson were also notably absent from the wedding amid continuing public controversy surrounding the couple.

However, one absence likely felt most deeply by Peter Phillips was that of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away nearly three years ago.

The ceremony marked the first time one of the late Queen’s grandchildren had married without her being present, making the occasion especially emotional given Peter’s famously close relationship with his maternal grandmother.

Over the years, Peter was often described by royal commentators as one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite grandchildren, reflecting the strong bond they were believed to share.
